Applying Rosin

1. Remove the cap to expose the rosin.
2. Apply rosin to the bow hair as usual.
3. Rotate the rosin sleeve until you feel a satisfying click—this reveals a fresh surface for next time.
4. Replace the cap for safe storage.

Tip: For best results, slightly roughen the rosin surface. You can do this by rubbing the bow hair over the rosin a few times at each click position, or by lightly scuffing the surface with fine sandpaper or another abrasive.

Tightening the Bow

1. Insert the bow button into the wrench pocket on the bottom of the tool.
2. Secure the fit. For most bows, the button will sit fully in the pocket. For larger buttons, press in until snug. *Tilt the tip of the bow downward to keep the Buddy securely in place and prevent it from slipping off or falling.
3. Turn the Bow Buddy to tighten the bow hair to the desired tension.
4. To loosen, repeat the steps and turn in the opposite direction.
   

Tip: The hair should be tight enough to play, but still bounce slightly when tapped.
